Fun Friday

The kids have been really stir crazy the past few weeks. The weather has been beautiful so I decided to let them go outside and play. Today was no exception. They ran, rode bikes, threw rocks for over 2 hours. When it was time for me to get dinner going, they didn't want to come inside. It's so nice for them to get some fresh air and let some of that energy get spent in a productive way. I am bummed though that I didn't take any pictures today. Oh well.

I'm planning on getting things to plant a little Flower Pot Garden next week and having the kids get involved with that. Perhaps even throw in some veggies. I'll definately take pictures when we're all done.

On a scrappy note, I created a layout for a ScrapLift Challenge over at Scrap Orchard. It's so fun using the photos I have of Jordan as an itty bitty. Makes me sad, but also excited at how much he's grown.

Ugh

I'm up late...again...but to make it worse Melody decided to wake up just now. She went to sleep at around 8:00 so she slept for quite a while. It's going to be a loooong night. I guess if Loney's up to it we'll watch LOST when he gets home.

Today was a pretty good day for me as far as the house goes. I've assesed what needs to go to the Salvation Army and such so I'll probably do that this weekend when Loney is home. I think I'm going to set a goal to get the main living area cleaned up by March 8th. This includes the kitchen put together (drawers cleaned and lined, cooking utinsals put away, Pantry more organized), ALL of the boxes still in the living room either unloaded and organized (stuff inside) or taken to storage. I'm just tired of the chaos and it's not going to do it by itself.

Here's a few layouts I've done this week...Enjoy.

Up Late...again

I've really got to get to bed earlier. I know it's affecting my days in one way or another. I think once Loney isn't working swings I'll be more inclined to go to bed early so I'm not waiting up for him. I'll live I guess.

Yesterday I created a couple of layouts from Faith Sister's Challenges. The first one was using a template and it was perfect for my pictures from the Walt Disney World trip.

The second one is just a fun thing us ladies are doing in the forum. A scraplift from a lady that posted before you did. It was my turn and Kay had posted first. Here's her layout:

And here' show I changed it up:

Working Wednesday

I've got a busy day ahead of me. I've taken on the task of scanning some of my grandmother's old photos to give as a gift for my Great Aunt (her sister). It's really cool seeing my great grandmother younger since I don't really remember her. Also pictures of granny as a child too. I'm hoping to get finished everything I need to today so I don't have to stress about it tomorrow before heading into Vegas. I also hope the kids will allow me to work without too many interruptions. We'll see how that goes.

I also have created a couple of layouts yesterday. It feel so good to have my computer up and running how I like it so I can get back to creating. Enjoy.

Beautiful "love"ly Saturday

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect Saturday. The sun is shining, the skies are clear. So beautiful. It's Valentine's Day though Loney and I never really do much for each other. We're heading out in a little bit to Fry's Electronics to pick up computer components to build me a new computer. I'm so excited.

I've got tons to do when we get back home from visiting mom and dad, but at least I can enjoy a little down time for a moment. I've needed this short break, though I'm looking forward to taking a true vacation in the near future. Not sure when or where, but it'll be a blast nonetheless.

Super Slacker

Boy, the title says it all. I've been terrible about posting on here this past week. I've been dealing with a sick kid who is finally doing better. Plus I've been super tired too.

Today I've got the mundane task of doing/folding laundry. In the mix of all that I need to pack up and drive to my parents house for a few days. The kids LOVE to visit Grandma and Grandpa's house. They'll be so excited when I finally tell them. I have to wait until I'm almost ready so as to not have them waiting by the front door telling me it's time to go. They are so funny.

I'll leave you with a few layouts I've created for some new releases this Friday. Super cute ones if you ask me.

Template Challenge

This weeks Template Challenge at Faith Sisters is being hosted by DigiScrapalicious. I couldn't download the template, so I adapted it myself.

Here's what I did with it:

Neato Skeeto

I've done a little change to my blog if you haven't noticed yet. I was given a code from Queen Karma at Faith Sisters to put my latest layouts on my blog for your viewing enjoyment. All you have to do is click on the image and it will take you to my gallery at Faith Sisters. How cool is that?!?

I also was led to a web site from Emilie Ahern's blog where you can make your own handwriting as a font. Super coolness. I created my print, cursive, and Loney's print. I will say though if you try this, make sure you keep the letters in the same spot in the squares so it doesn't go a wicky wacky when it's created.

Here's a sample of what I created:

You can follow THIS LINK to create your own handwriting, and go HERE to download my print font if you would like to.

Potty Training Whoa's.

OK, so I attempted to start potty training Melody and Jordan. Well, Jordan it's just getting through his thick skull what needs and is gonna happen. I would get them to sit, but didn't make it to the toilet when they finally did pee. So frustrating, but I'm not giving up. Of course some suggestions would be nice as to go about doing this. I'm praying to get them both trained by Summer...we'll see how that goes.

It's been a while (once again) since I blogged. Just been a little spaced out lately. I'm tired and really don't want to do much of anything. I need to get off my duff though and get some CT layouts done as well as get my life in order. This being in limbo is totally throwing me. I gotta get out of this funk I'm in and pronto.

I'll leave you with a card I created for the Weekly Card Sketch Challenge at Faith Sisters.
